For over 40 years, Sal Lopes has documented the world around us. His project-specific photographic works bring insight to watershed moments in our history(Vietnam Memorial, AIDS, 9/11), examine cultural touchstones (From the Street, Newport Jazz, Feast), and illuminate the landscapes of possibility in familiar objects (Water, Horses).
